What are the Image and File Managers?

The Image Manager and File Manager displays all of the images and files that can be used within content pages on your website.

Uploading multiple images to the Image Manager

Tip: Work fast!

Work efficiently with multiple images by uploading six images at a time with the Image Manager.

The Image Manager enables you to upload six (6) images to your website at once.  You can use .jpg, .gif and .png image files on your website.

  1. Go to Pages > Image Manager.
  2. Click on the Browse button at the top of the screen.
  3. Locate the image on your computer and click Open. You will see the file name of the image populate the Upload field.
  4. You can queue up to six images at a time by repeating steps one and two in the remaining Browse fields.
  5. Click on the Upload Images button.  Copies of the file(s) are transferred from your computer to the server. The time taken for this could vary depending on your Internet connection speed and how large the images are. The newly uploaded image(s) will appear at the bottom of the list.
  6. The image/s will appear in the list of available images at the bottom of the screen.

Once images have been uploaded to the Image Manager, they can be inserted into a web page.

Can I insert images into a page without uploading them through the Image Manager first?

The Image Manager is used to help you work faster by allowing you to upload more than one image at one time. It also helps you to work efficiently by providing a place where you can view all of the images on your site at once. You can view or delete images from the File and Image Managers at any time.

You can always use the Insert Image tool in the content editor to upload an image and insert it directly onto a page. See the article Uploading and inserting images into a web page for more details.
